On Wednesday (June 21) 35-year-old Carlishia Hood and her 14-year-old son were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Jeremy Brown. The incident occurred last Sunday (June 18) in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. At around 11 p.m. that Sunday, Hood went inside of Maxwell Street Express, which sits at 11656 S. Halsted St., to grab some food as her son waited behind in their car. As Hood was waiting in line, she got into an argument with Brown. It is reported that Brown threatened Hood, and ended up punching her, causing her 14-year-old son to pull out a gun and fire shots at Brown. One of the shots landed in Brown’s back, and he tried to run out of the restaurant, but the teen followed him, firing additional shots. Prosecutors claimed that Hood continued to tell her son to keep shooting Brown until he was dead.
